This illustration was done as a lead in... in a sense, a poster for the book that I created about the bond between dogs and humans. This is done freehand and directly with pen, no pencils were involved. Enjoy!

This series of illustrations is based on a place called Fairview Developmental Center (FDC). FDC was first opened in Jan 5, 1959 in Costa Mesa, CA. These series of drawings explores the juxtaposition of the environment... I found it interesting that a country club and golf course surrounded a hospital that housed severely disabled people. The trip to this hospital lead to much questioning of morals, ethics, and just life.
